4-H Judging Teams & Activities

Smith County 4-H offers a variety of Judging Teams & Activities that our 4-H’ers can participate in! These Judging Teams help 4-H’ers develop critical thinking and decision-making skills while working together as a team.

4-H Archery Group

The Smith County 4-H Archery program concentrates on safety, improving shooting skills, and of course, FUN!
Livestock Judging

The Smith County 4-H Livestock Judging program gives youth the opportunity to learn more about cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.
Wildlife Judging

The Smith County 4-H Wildlife Judging program teaches youth about native species, their food sources and habitat, as well as how to properly manage habitat for wildlife.
Forestry Judging

The Smith County 4-H Forestry Judging program allows 4-H’ers to become experts in tree identification, pacing, compassing, and tree measurement.
Poultry Judging

The Smith County 4-H Poultry Judging program consists of judging live birds and the quality of eggs, meat identification, and carcass grading.
4-H Grillmaster Challenge

The 4-H Grillmaster Challenge consists of a team of four 4-H’ers in which each team member creates a recipe and grills one of the following meats for judging: beef, pork, chicken, or lamb.
