According to the most recent Census of Agriculture, the market value of crops sold in Smith County was $7,605,000. Crop sales represent 40% of the market value of agricultural products sold in Smith County.
Smith County ranks in the top 10 in TN for tobacco production and is home to nearly 8,000 acres of corn, soybeans, and wheat.
